Sample Language for Your Will or Trust

The following language may help you and your attorney when drawing up a bequest that meets your needs.

“I give to Food For The Poor (Tax ID #59-2174510), a nonprofit corporation currently located at 6401 Lyons Road, Coconut Creek, Florida, 33073, or its successor thereto, ______________* [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted use and purpose.”

Example language to bequest a percentage of your estate:

“I give, devise and bequeath to Food For The Poor, Inc. (Tax ID #59-2174510), located in Coconut Creek, FL, _____ % of my estate to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific fund or program).”
