I became involved through St. Gabriel’s Church in Kansas City, who adopted St. Gabriel’s in Balaclava, Jamaica. We worked with Fr. Arokiasamy and the Missionaries of Charity Home for aged for summers for 13 years We also helped build Food For Poor houses in Balaclava area, as well as rebuilding some of existing structures in poor condition. We also did maintenance work for Missionaries of Charity. Being in a Retirement Community, we now have a dinning room attendant who stated she worked for Food For The Poor and knows of this area.
